Personal data processing

Any data we collect can only be used to correlate multiple visits to the same anonymous person. We do not build personalized user profiles that can be used to pinpoint exact user identity.

Summary of personal data points that Contester is processing

Technical data​

  • Collecting the following data upon each request from user browser
    • IP address
    • Browser user-agent
    • Browser preferred language
  • Storing the following data on user browser
    • We store a unique device hash on browser localStorage that we use to identify returning visits
  • Email address that user fills in to subscribe to livestream notifications and/or influencer future events
  • Live chat username that user fills in in order to join the livestream chat
  • Live chat messages that user sends in the chat
  • Page visits on customer website during interaction with Contester widget

3rd party processors​

  • Cloudflare
    • They serve our scripts and has access to HTTP requests issued from user browsers
    • We do not process any data they gather around end users
  • AWS
    • We store our database on their infrastructure
    • We do not process any data they gather around end users
  • NeutrinoAPI
    • Validating end user user-agent values to determine device types (desktop/tablet/mobile)
    • Validating end user IP address to determine user country
